        'The modern times' movie screening.

Charlie Chaplin was great director, writer , actor and also comedian. Department  of English many times organize this type of academic movie screening.

Nowadays, We watched movie of "Charlie Chaplin in Modern times." Charlie Chaplain and Hitler both have same face,  but both have  different thoughts and ideas. Chaplin famous for as a laughter and Hitler  known as monster of power and position, he was cruelman also.
In modern age we can see how people face " great depression" and through comedy  we can find lower class people's problems. Starting movie with crowd of pigs and after crowd of people. So here we find how comedy through symbolizes 'modern periode' and which type of behavior in this age.

Modern industrialization worl:-
In the "Modern times" was a wonderful interfuse and social reality. The movie provided a look into the world of deep truth with industrial world. Many different types of symbols here we find and easily understand that era.

     Like as,
             Problems of life,
             Food,
             Joblessness,
             Social pressure,
             Economical crisis
             Condition of poor people,
             Culturele etc, as a symbols.

Condition of poor people:-

'Poor people has not enough food so that they become criminal, or just survival.'  Charlie Chaplin his comedy through easily exhibit  the condition of working class people in this movie.

Here we can see one chart about 'U. S. annual real GDP from 1910 to 1960, with the year of the Great Depression (1929 - 1939) through this chart here highlighted.

Setting:-
Technology and machine vast use in day to day life. Like cooking to industrial work. How it's effect in present time and  it's solution.

Comparison between Rich and poor people. Drugs and food about interesting comedy scene. People easily understand and enjoy a lot, with full of information.

How rich people live with full of amenities ?

How poor people face the modern/ current economic crisis?

How industrial world has own good or bad side?

All this things are normally we face in some times.

*Some key points:-  Tone through comedy and laughter,  tragic story, pro- poor, social silent era, minimum use of language, legal troubles, economical and political satire. Chaplin use ' highly comic tone' through tells tragic story in this movie. Cortical observation of mechanical life is very interesting for me, because when I was saw first time in U.G. (by J. P. sir) at that time I easily understood, "what is industrialization?"☺️
So, it's my own view about this movie.
                                                          Thank you sir.
