Expert lecture on ELT- 2 by Prof. Dr. Atanu Bhattacharya

😊 Hello my dear readers today I'm going to share one  interesting blog with you and it is about what is ELT and  my experience about this academic lecture by professor Atanu Bhattacharya in department of English MK BUni. and this wonderful session organized by Prof. Dr. Dilip Barad sir. So let's start why are we waiting forgetting this interesting information?!?

◆"Takeaways" of this session:-

1). ELT as historical perspective
     English Language Teaching is very interesting for the concept of historical and social perspectives. English language is part of Indian culture and more then every culture. Much has been written about the coloniality of the English language teaching. Now more than ever, one senses among a section of the applied linguistics community a critical awareness of the fact that the English language, in its long march to its current global status, was aided and abetted by colonialist and imperialist projects that trampled upon the political, cultural and linguistic heritage of millions of people across the globe, that's why I argue that a post method pedagogy must relevant to some facts like,
 (1) Facilitate the advancement of a context‐sensitive language education based on a true understanding of local linguistic, sociocultural, and political particularities;
(2)  rupture the reified role relationship between theorists and practitioners by enabling teachers to construct their own theory of practice; and
 (3)  tap the sociopolitical consciousness that participants bring with them in order to aid their quest for identity formation and social transformation.
   ELT helps for a logical argument and it creates reality because, it's capable for reality: it's rather true or false( post truth) reality so when we use it at that time we can be careful to use it. ELT through we can make questions
