"The Da Vinci Code" novel by Dan Brown

◆ Movie screening "The Da Vinci Code" : based on novel by Dan Brown

1. What is Theology Fiction?
 ● Over all central theme is around the Christianity and here focus on the christian religion. Somehow here typical ideas broken because, here opposite things wants to prove. People believe that Jesus was the god but, here things are not as it is. Article gives deep understanding for theology fiction.

2. Brown states on his website that his books are not anti-Christian, though he is on a 'constant spiritual journey' himself, and says that his book The Da Vinci Code is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith."
   ● I think he use deep logics throughout this journey of the "Da Vinci Code" and all about the religion and he break down the old rules and he try to set new truthful but, bitter hidden reality of human existence. I accept this book as critically and scientifically true because, Jesus was not god by birth but, frist he was a human being and than whatever he will became. So, first of all we need to proof that he was a man and than he has mother and father also. Because, those who existing and dies; they all are not immortal at all. It is he truth and truth is bitter than lie. So, I believe that this text is as a "positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith." and I agree for that when we think that is not truth at all and that we realize that I will find the truth..I know this story is based on mythical story or painting and some old books, it's not fully truh but, some how this novel is near to reality of life rather than spirituality and so on.

3. “Although it is obvious that much of what Brown presented in his novel as absolutely true and accurate is neither of those, some of that material is of course essential to the intrigue, and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman has retained the novel's core, the Grail-related material: the sacred feminine, Mary Magdalene's marriage, the Priory of Sion, certain aspects of Leonardo's art, and so on. ” How far do you agree with this observation of Norris J. Lacy?
    ●  Yes, the grail related materials like, the sacred feminism, Mary Magdalene's marriage this is true according to my point of view and it's authentic investigation for the existence of Jesus and his past. This point is appropriate and it's true for all human beings and than what is the problem after open his hidden truth because, behind the false how long truth hidden. One day truth will come.out and all people are accept that than what issue happened? It's nothing, but one simple thing and it's required for his existence.  The priory of sign and Certain aspect of Leonardo's Art both are necessary part here. The Blood line and rose line it's shown in map also and it's true here and christian people are believed in those types of things. I wants to talk about the "Aura" of the her and in the movie we find that her magical touch to Robert Langdon, and suddenly his fobia or fear is no more after her touch. And some other things also show her spirituality in the novel and movie.

4. (If)You have studied ‘Genesis’ (The Bible), ‘The Paradise Lost’ (John Milton) and ‘The Da Vinci Code’ (Dan Brown). Which of the narrative/s seem/s to be truthful? Whose narrative is convincing to the contemporary young mind?
    ● According to me 'The Paradise Lost' is mythical story because, their Eve and Adam both are divine and unborn man and woman. It's not possible for the acceptance of Young mind and critique's also accept as a mythical story rather truthfulness and real incident. So, John Milton's the paradise lost Unacceptable for new generation, because without evidence people are not accept as it is. And now the Da Vinci Code - the novel gives us some ways for find the truth behind the myth and whatever we think, write, speak and believe all things required or acceptable after given evidence. So, I think the "Da Vinci Code" is more reliable rather paradise lost. It's my own view to make different and I think younger generation more accept this Dan Brown's work because, this novel is more convincing to the contemporary young mind.

5. What harm has been done to humanity by the biblical narration or that of Milton’s in The Paradise Lose? What sort of damage does narrative like ‘The Vinci Code’ do to humanity?
     ● Milton's Paradise Lost depends only for spiritual and divine things so, people are becoming emotional rather rational. This thing is harm for society. People blindly follow their religion and never questions against the religion. So, its not authentic for better future and become rational rather emotional.
    ● The Da Vinci Code is all about christian religion but, when silas kill five men and one sister and some other people's murder - than he confess his crimes and murder rather he go to police station and than accept own crime. But, this type of anything not happened because he believes that he is a Messenger of God. First, second and third murder and than he keep going to this wrong path. So, it's not fair because, people will become killer and than they didn't have Repentant and its not fair. Because religion and low are for the repentant and here this is not happen till the end of the movie and novel.

6. What difference do you see in the portrayal of 'Ophelia' (Kate Winslet) in Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet, 'Elizabeth' (Helena Bonham Carter) in Kenneth Branagh's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or 'Hester Prynne' (Demi Moore) in Roland Joffé's The Scarlet Letter' or David Yates's 'Harmione Granger' (Emma Watson) in last four Harry Potter films - and 'Sophie Neuve' (Audrey Tautau) in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code? How would justify your answer?
    ● Ophelia, Elizabeth, Hester Prynne, Harmione Granger and 'Sophie Neuve' all women's own personality shows through different stories. But, somehow people are expecting they will be typical (indian) women, good wife and mother and they will be faithful to our society. Because when woman can do something according to their own choice than people say that they are sinner and criminals according to social rules. When Ophelia try to prove her true love for Hamlet than she will become mad and actually people can't trust for her statement. Elizabeth has own problems and she also fight with her Young sister and also her mother, she was fight with narrow minded people and her own family also. Hester Prynne who is free to take her decision and live life according to her choice. But it's wrong thing for our society and she punished by people and than after all she gave birth to Parl and she says that people say to me sinner than yes I am. So, that way she will become the victim of our cruel society. Harmione Granger one who has power of knowledge and she able to fight with her enemies. But, it's not pit appropriate way so, latter on she will be minor according to mail protagonist character Harry. 'Sophie Neuve' is somehow very good character according to divide power and and her Aura is very highly powerful and positive rather than Robert Langdon's personality. So, people accepte those characters in the stories but, not even in real world and it's the truth forever. Because, when women trying to their own importance and equality that it will be problematic for social leaders and people who believe in the men has power to control all other things and women also. This are my point of view and what I think and believe or expect for this society.

                                   Thank you!
